I hate people...

Today I am annoyed.  People who talk about how horrible their lives are and do nothing to fix them.. they become fixated on getting that one thing, and they lose sight of so many other things.  Like keeping their promises, or doing what they said they would do, or taking responsibility for their own actions.  UGH.

I'm cranky, and want to vent.. so here I am, at work when my ear is killing me, trying my best to stay active and productive, and just letting my thoughts brood. Really wish people would pull their head out of their butts and do what they said they would do instead of being off in la la land.

I mean I am in no ways perfect but krikey, instead of whining about how  much my life sucks, I count my blessings.  Hey you have a roof over your head, you have a job, you have people who care about you.  You have FOOD in your stomachs. There are a lot of people in this world who do not have any of those, so when you start to worry, hey count your blessings.

I know I have to work on it, but at least I realize I have to work on it.  Some people just wallow, and I'm so tired of all the stupid wallowing. "oooh if only this... and if only that.."

SHUT UP!!  GAH... You are darn lucky to live in the United States, and have places that will help you.  Plenty of other countries could give two shizernits about what you don't have, and would do nothing to help you.

Here we have food stamps, cash assistance, Toys for Tots, and lots of other programs! I mean the Shelter of Flint helps people find affordable living!

You know what also annoys me, people who abuse the system.  I have a co-worker who doesn't make that much and was barely able to give her kids a christmas. I told her go to Toys for Tots; we did last year.  She wouldn't go because there are needier people.  Well, my housemate went and was approved, but had to work at Toys R Us the day to pick up the toys.  My husband went to pick the toys up for her, and let me tell you, some of the people there were horrible!  Talking about getting high and drinking!!  The volunteers were 15 mins late to pass out the toys, and people started yelling at them demanding another bag because they had to wait!  I mean, how ungrateful can people be?!  You're getting free hand-outs and you have the audacity to demand more?! Mean while you spend your time getting high and getting drunk, yeah your kids needs toys for tots because you're too inept to go out and work because you're getting high and being a drag on human society. UGH!

Now it's Christmas time and people are out shopping.  What happened to common courtesy.  People are shoving and pushing and being rude.  Hello?! did we forget the real reason for this holiday? Celebrating the birth of Christ!! Oh yeah.. forgot... we're not a "christian" nation anymore.  Despite the fact that it was FOUNDED on people who were escaping persecution for being christian.

I hate people...

Honesty...

Today I have been completely surprised at the number of people that have lied.

Here's the thing, I used to lie almost all the time, I had a horrible habit of doing it.  I tried to make it seem that I was doing better than I really was, tell people that I was their friend, and then talk behind their back.

All it did was lead to heart ache, and having to think about what I said to someone before hand so I could keep up the lie.

As soon as I found the Lord, I realize I had to stop this, and I became truthful.  I told the truth all the time, it was really hard at first, everything in me wanted to lie, but I made sure I did not.  As time went out I got better and better with the truth.  It's so much better, I don't know why I did not do it before.

When you lie you have to deal with the consequences, someone slipping up, or even yourself, and you get in more trouble.  Because their upset about the original transgression, and made even worse.

Because something always gets screwed up, someone always slips, and the truth comes out.

Just tell the truth... it'll make it better in the long run.

Veteran's Day

My grandpa Weier, lost 3 fingers on his left hand in World War II.  He only had his thumb and pinky finger.

Grandpa Burchill was in the Navy during World War II

My father gave over 20 years to the National Guard.

My little brother now serves as an office in the Navy.

This 4 men are the closest to me that have served in the military, they gave body parts, time with friends and family, in the service to their country.  To keep freedom free.

Some gave all, some gave their lives.  Today remember those people, remember the ones that have given their time and their commitment.  Also remember their loved ones at home, who support them on a daily basis.

Happy Veteran's day

The man seems to always be able to put his foot in his mouth...

Kanye West was on the today show, and he once again showed how much of an ass this man is.

Dubya wrote in his book that the lowest point of his presidency was when Kanye said on live TV "George Bush doesn't like black people"  Now that's another post all together, how 9-11 and Hurricane Katrina happened during his presidency but the low point was a comment made by a musical artist.  Yeah.. ANYWAYS

Kanye goes on the Today show and talks to Matt Lauer about this comment, and Matt brings up the issues about people calling Kanye racist when he took the microphone from Taylor Swift, and they play the clip and Kanye was not happy about it.  He said, "Now how am I suppose to talk when you have that playing?"

There's a clip to the interview, he's just basically an ass.. and not professional in any way shape or form.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4ZVYZkD1tMk

He then goes an twitters about how Matt tried to force his answers, and so and so forth.  He's someone that is completely full of himself, and thinks he's better than anyone else.  What did you expect when doing an interview with Matt Lauer, Matt treats everyone the same and asks the questions that people want to know.

Grow up Kanye, this is what is part of being an adult.  You've stuck your foot in your mouth more times than anyone can count and have made fellow celebrities nervouse to be around you for fear of what you might do or say and they may be associated with the things you say.

Wednesday Wednesday

Ahh a bit more political commentary.... So watching the Today show this morning and apparently Dubya stopped by to say hi, and do a bit more of an interview with Matt Lauer.  So Matt asks Dubya,  "there was a housing collapse, a near banking collapse, and thousands of jobs lost while you were in office, how much of the blame for that do you take?"  and you see this look of pure confusion on Dubya's face, and he says, "Well there were a lot of people to blame for that, including my administration"

Yeah that was his answer, it's like.. everyone else was to blame, but me.  I just.. ugh.   Why is this man still in the spotlight?   I know, I know.. he's promoting his new book.  Who gave him the wonderful idea to write a book?  and why is everyone and their brother writing books now a days?  It's ridiculous, and I still say this government is going to hell in a hand-basket.

Oh, and you know what else I heard this morning, TLC has a new reality show, "Sarah Palin's Alaska"  Here's another out of work public official who just needs to go away.  Yeah she's had a show on FOX for quite some time, but that's FOX, they don't count, they're so right they never make a left turn!  But now TLC, who I had thought to be a "real" network is giving this chicky even more limelight.

I'm beginning to think I may not watch a whole lot of TLC anymore, first it was "Sister Wives", and now this.  Media is getting on my nerves, programing to to the ignorant majority, when they should be educating and helping make this country a better place.

Anyways, on to other things.  Regular everyday things that no one really cares about.  I've decided that if I can help it, I'm never going to buy another thing from Walmart.  I bought a dining set from them not too long ago and the bench that came with it, completely broke the other day, making me have to go out and get new chairs, but of course I could not find just simple chairs at Kmart or Meijer, so I bought 24'' stools, they work ok, but they are a bit tall, will need to figure out how to make them shorter without ruining them...

Last night I went to Meijer to purchase these chairs and also to grab a couple of things for the remodel, such as switch covers, and a new air vent cover.  After wondering around for 20 mins in the hardware section I finally spied some workers not working, but just sitting around and talking and grabbed one and asked for assistance.  He barely knew what I was talking about till I showed him a picture of what I wanted that was on an air vent filter. You would think that they would be right next to each other but no, the air vent covers were actually all the way on the back wall, in a little 1 foot section.  To top it off, they only had floor ones, and not ones that I could put on a wall.

So that is what I will be doing today at lunch is going to Home Depot and getting air vent covers that go on the wall.

Put the first coat on the walls today of the dark maroon, looks more like purplish pink right now, but once it dries and I put at least two more coats on it, it will have the look I want.

Looking forward to this weekend.  No kids, no roomate, just my husband and I with absolutely no plans.  The painting should be finished up by friday at the latest, was going to work on the yard, but since it's raining this weekend that will not be possible.  Just more cleaning and getting the house ready for the 20th,  I hope I can pull this off.

Gah... it's only Tuesday

Okie dokie,

Quickie post before I go to work.. It's only tuesday.  I haven't been following current events lately because I'm trying to finish the painting on my house to make it look "finished" finally.

I have to figure out plates for next week, as I have 9 adults and only 7 china plats.  hmm...

I think Dan and I will get special plates. ;)  the 5 kiddies can eat off whatever.

Cleaned out the garage a little bit. Not as much as I would've liked, but I had a lot to do this morning.

Okies, gotta go to work.

Peace out

Tis the season!

OOooohhh Look I made a 2nd post.   It is about the time for the holiday season.  I have all my shopping done, and just have to pay off the layaway.  It's most wonderful.

I am doing both Thanksgiving and Christmas at my house this year.  I'm not sure what lunacy prompted me to do this, but I am looking forward to it.

Much has happened since my last month of posting.  My contractor has finished my house and he has done a most excellent job, finally there is not longer a door right where my dining room is.  Makes it so much easier to have a dining room.  Now in about two weeks time I have to finish painting my kitchen/dining area before Dan's family comes for Thanksgiving on the 20th.

So, the mid-term elections happened this week, and surprise, republicans won all around.  Now I am not a republican or a democrat, personally I think the whole party system is royally messed up.  I mean... when Obama was elected there were people who said, "I will everything in my power to see him fail" simply because he is a democrat.  The country is in the worse possible state it can be in, and everyone is doing what they think is right.  It's literally going to hell in a hand basket.  and 90% of the problems could be fixed if so many people of the house and the senate did not do the whole, "Well I'm not going to vote for that because the democats/republicans brought that bill"  So then Wednesday when democrats got slapped in the face, he was all "we must work together for compromise"  Yeah... where was that crap 6 months ago.  So don't even get me started on Obama care.   Making people get health care does not lower health premiums or the cost of prescriptions.  Krikey if anything it's been raising premiums left and right.

And Obama didn't do all that well either when he said he could pass health care without a single republican vote.  I mean, I think they were more worried about a super majority then they were about domestic policy.  And now that everyone and their brother is threatening filibusters nothing can get passed.  You know before the 90's there was hardly any filibusters, and now every bill is getting filibustered.  It's ridonculous.

Anyways, now off my political soap box...

Halloween was a lot of fun, had a blast with my brother in law and sister in law.  Had a great time this last weekend, as well because I got to see my other brother in law and sister in law.

So I'm a little out of things to say. Gonna try to post on here more often.  See yas!

First Post

So it's 12:30am and I'm wide awake, even after doing a lot of chores today.  So the random idea jumped into my head, that hey my brother in law makes one.. why not me?

So here I am watching Futurama with my husband and wondering basically what to write.

Today was a pretty uneventful day.  I tried the Dryel dry clean system, and I can say that I was pretty impressed.  I put in my nice winter coat and used the stain fighter pen that came with it, and it got all the stains out.  Then I used it on the dresses that I wore for Randy and Missy's wedding, and it did really well.

Got my Halloween costume today, it looks awesome, I totally love it.  probably spent more money than I should have.. but it's nice to have. I've always wanted a nice princess dress to wear.  Now to find the headpiece that inspired me to purchase it.

This week also commenced my new work schedule and I seem to be adjusting to it.. hence the fact that I can not fall asleep to save my life.  perhaps some tylenol PMs to help me sleep.  That and I'm very hot right now too.. that could  be preventing me to fall asleep.

Went and saw the Saginaw Spirit for the first time and I had a great date with Dan, it was the first sporting even that we went to and Dan seemed to be pretty into it. More than I was at some points.  We were sitting next to the Morley Suite inside the Dow Event Center, will have to ask management how I can get tickets for in there.

Having work on the house done, and it's going well.  Moved that door that was in such a bad place and have two new windows in. I'll have more windows in later.  After they finish I'll need to paint and prime, that'll be a lot of fun.

Anyways, can't think of a whole lot else right now, perhaps later I will type more.
